The process for families
If you’re looking for 25 hours per week or more of childcare, please submit the application below in as much detail as possible. Weekend placements can be accommodated with a minimum of 15+ hours. We will follow up with you promptly to arrange a convenient time to discuss your needs.
We arrange a free consultation by phone where a personal placement coordinator will discuss your needs and our process in detail. We want to hear all your wishes, hopes and preferences for childcare. This call helps us understand your family dynamic, an invaluable step toward securing the perfect Nanny in your home.
Following your call, we’ll send you our Family Agreement. Next we’ll e-mail you a link to submit your registration fee (see more on fees below). This fee will be credited toward the cost of final placement. Your personal placement coordinator will then draft a concise job description for your approval to initiate your search.
The fun part! Now you get to choose from the best nannies NYC has to offer! You’ll receive profiles complete with a childcare resume, personal bio, head shot, transcripts of our calls with 2 previous employers and a candidate summary. From there we move entirely at your pace scheduling calls, interviews and trial periods. You can count on a prompt response and our courteous service throughout.
You’ve read the resumes. You’ve done the trial. You love the nanny and you’re ready to make an offer! We’ll walk you step by step through the offer letter and agreement outlining schedules, responsibilities and any verbal agreements. Clearly defining expectations in advance provides a reference for both parties. We can advise you on payroll services, legal obligations and typical benefits that secure a long term, successful placement.
We’re looking for NYC’s finest! Our nannies are city-savvy with a great sense of fun and creativity and able to maintain a nurturing, safe, loving environment. We look for effective communicators with high emotional intelligence, strong interpersonal skills and excellent judgment.
To join our network, nannies must exhibit not only a deep understanding and love of children, but have the experience, skills and professionalism to match. Candidates with the perfect balance are rare finds and we’re selective! Our nannies must adhere not only to our standards but also to the recommended practices set by the International Nanny Association (INA), the umbrella organization of the in-home childcare industry.
We recognize our families’ needs for additional safety precautions; they’re our concerns too. Our partners in background security verify a candidate’s social security number and address history. National criminal and miscellaneous court records along with sex offender registries are also checked. A la carte options are also available: educational verification, driving records and 5 or 10 panel drug screening.

Hourly rates in NYC vary greatly based on experience, education, special skills, additional languages, and each position’s level of responsibility. Given the caliber of candidates we represent, we typically see “net” rates from $20–$25 and up per hour.
Bespoke placement is both time and labor intensive; therefore, a one-time, non-refundable $250 registration fee is requested in advance to initiate your search. Should you choose to move forward with one of our candidates, your registration fee will be credited toward your placement fee upon hire.
For long-term, live-out placements (3 months+) the fee is 15% of the nanny’s gross annual salary.
For long-term, live-in placements the fee is 20% of the nanny’s gross annual salary.
For short-term placements (1 month – 3 months) the fee is 20% of the nanny’s gross earnings during the covered work period.
In the rare event a new candidate must be provided, we extend a 90-day period where we will work diligently to find a replacement nanny for your family at no additional fee.
